The chance to fly as a passenger on a De Havilland Canada Dash-7 is now pretty rare! Most of the Dash-7s 113 built Dash-7s have been retired and the few passenger examples that remain mostly operate charter work, and are found in remote locations. In the summer of 2019, Yellowknife based Air Tindi had one of their passenger configured De Havilland Canada Dash-7s based in Vancouver for summer fishing charters. JetFlix TV founder Henry Tenby contacted the airline with a proposal to operate an enthusiast charter flight between YVR and the Abbotsford Airshow, where the airplane would be a one day only static exhibit, and the lucky plane spotters who joined the charter could experience flight in this amazing Canadian built STOL aircraft. This special flight Dash-7 charter took place on August 10, 2019, and it was filmed extensively by Henry Tenby, and now streams as a three part mini series on JetFlix TV.
