In the late 1950s, Douglas Aircraft of Long Beach, made a significant marketing push to draw many of the world’s airline to their new jet transport, the Douglas DC-8. This all colour 70 minute DVD examines the development and extensive flight test phase of the DC-8, which was conducted in flights between Long Beach and Edwards Air Force base in the late 1950s.
