With the bankruptcy of Air Berlin in 2017, other airlines have expanded into the internal German market to take over the slots and fill the void in the market. One such airline to take advantage of this opportunity is Easy Jet, and they have added numerous daily frequencies on the bust Berlin Tegel – Frankfurt Main air route.

JetFlix founder Henry Tenby took advantage of this opportunity and booked a seat on Easy Jet between Tegel and Frankfurt on April 30, 2018 via the Travelocity website for a one way fare of 70 Euros. It was a pleasant surprise when we showed up at the gate at Tegel to see a Smart Lyynx Estonia Airbus A320 ES-SAP that would be operating our service on behalf of Easy Jet. The front end crew were Spaniards and the back end was Estonian which made for an interesting and somewhat unique flight experience.
