Fairchild’s 1950s era USAF C-119 Flying Boxcar almost never came to be in the UK, except for just one long forgotten example that flew from Manston, Kent airport on December 4, 1985, as G-BLSW as presented in this long lost and forgotten but recently found aviation archive video. The C-119 was known as the dollar nineteen, and this example was operated by the Belgian Air Force between 1959 and 1975. It then languished between aircraft brokers until it was acquired by Manston based Aces High on December 28, 1984, and test flown one year later as captured in this rare video.
