Chris Chennell made numerous visits to Sharjah airport during the 1990s when the airport was at its prime for classic propliner movements when vintage Soviet era air transports ruled the day. Times have changed dramatically over the past 30 years and Sharjah airport is now a boring Airbus low cost airport that is no longer on the radar of serious plane spotters. But this video by Chris Chennell shows just how fantastic the airport was in the mid 1990s. Back then, for a small fee, plane spotters could purchase a ramp pass for near unlimited access to the busy ramp areas. The airport was a gold mine back in the 1990s!
