The very last JAC YS-11 flight operated on September 30, 2006. This footage shows the plane arriving at Fukuoka with a water brigade water canon salute. This marks the end of an era as it is the last scheduled passenger YS-11 flight in Japan.
A JSDF AWACS YS-11 sports radome bulges in this footage which shows the aircraft departing for a recon flight. Looks like the engines have been upgraded from the original Rolls Royce Dart engine configuration.
