Join Henry Tenby for a fabulous visit to the 2024 CFB Comox Airshow. This airshow last took place in 2015 so it was a long time coming. And they laid on the action like I’ve never seen in 60 years of attending airshows. This airshow was all muscle no filler; it will all active military aircraft in the air, a visual feast for the eyes and ears, specially the ears. The Lockheed CP-140 Aurora has served with the Canadian military since the 1980 and we can safely say the type is now a classic propliner veteran. In the year 2024, the RCAF still has a number of the CP-140 Auroras still in service. And the good folks at CFB Comox laid on one of hell of a CP-140 display,for those lucky enough to be present at the CFB Comox media day and airshow. I can say that in all my 60 years, I have never seen so much CP-140 and C-130 Hercules flying ever! In cumulative. In my entire life!! It was well worth attending this fabulous airshow to witness the great CP-140 flight display. It was a once a lifetime event, a special display for the lovers of Allison engined transports.
